About Bob, Kauai tropical Artist

BACKGROUND: Robert Hedin moved to Kauai over 30 years ago where he could follow his love of painting in a true paradise. Having obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Southern California he attended art school at Wayne State University in Michigan where he won several awards including an exhibit at the world’s largest museum located in Michigan. Besides his love for art and beauty Mr. Hedin has been creative in other areas with over 30 patents in various fields and the founder of Paradise Sportswear the “Original Red Dirt Shirt Co.” He was chosen Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002 by the Kauai Chamber of Commerce. His creative mind and artistic talent resulted in hundreds of Hawaiian designs for his Red Dirt Shirts. After moving to Kauai, the most gorgeous place in the world, he sold his first painting of Hanalei Bay to the world famous Tahiti Nui Bar and Grill in Hanalei. This was nearly 30 years ago. Since then he has concentrated on capturing the beauty of Kauai.
